About our typewriter
This machine was built in the early 1900s and has written for more than a century.
It has lived through years when letters carried love, distance, uncertainty, and hope—especially in times of war, when words on paper were often all that connected people.
Restored and returned to use, it continues to mark each page in the same way it did long ago.
Each letter carries a small part of that history.
