Who we are
The Letter Company is a small, independent service dedicated to meaningful correspondence.
It was created from a simple idea: that some words deserve more than a screen.
In a time where most messages are instant and quickly forgotten, a letter remains. It is held, opened, and often kept.
Each letter is typed by hand on a restored mechanical typewriter from the early 1900s. The process is slow and deliberate. There is no automation, no digital formatting—only ink, pressure, and time.
This machine has lived through more than a century. It comes from a time when letters carried weight. When people wrote across distance, across uncertainty, and often in moments that mattered deeply. In earlier years, letters were how people expressed love, said goodbye, or held on to one another through war and separation.
That history is still present in the way each page is made.
The Letter Company does not write for you. The words remain yours. What we offer is a way to give those words a physical form—something that can be sent, received, and kept.
Each letter is printed on quality paper, folded, placed in an envelope, and mailed. The process is simple, but intentional.
This is not about decoration or novelty.
It is about slowing down, and giving space to what is being said.
Some letters are meant to be read once.
Others are meant to be kept.
